Algae as Fuel:

Green Gasoline

Algae can also be a feedstock for a gasoline alternative, commonly referred to as ‘green gasoline’. Green gasoline is different than ethanol in that it is, like renewable aviation fuels, a ‘drop-in’ replacement, meaning it chemically mimics the properties of petroleum-based gasoline. As a result, green gasoline could be used at any blend level, in any gasoline engine.
